Horses are among the most perceptive creatures on the planet and have much to teach us about patterns of communication, behavior, integrity, groups and relationships. Employing attributes natural to horses, specialized exercises impel participants to creative and novel discoveries in problem solving, leadership, and self awareness.
Unique features of this workshop include:
A needs assessment (prior to the workshop)to determine where the emphasis of the training will be.
A written report/evaluation with recommendations for continuing growth following the workshop.
An opportunity to return for follow-up (a team 'check up') 4-6 weeks after the completion of the workshop.
Completion of DiSC, a personality profile to provide participants with knowledge about their behavioral characteristics and preferences. Capitalize on your strengths, learn to value & appreciate others.
And MORE, there's so much MORE that sets this workshop apart from others.
Far from stuffy hotel conference rooms, your day of personal and team growth is held at a 100 year old farm in a rural setting. For out-of-towners, overnight accommodations may be as close as the local bed and breakfast .
Prices start at $175 a person and include 6 CPE's (provider number RCS069101). This workshop is co-sponsored by the EAGALA.

About the Presenter:
Linda Myers, MA, CCDCIII-E, LPC, NCACI has held management and administrative positions at area agencies, and has been in private practice for more than 20 years working with troubled teens and their families. Looking for ways to enhance her practice and make therapy more meaningful for her clients, she became the first therapist in Ohio to be certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. From Past Participants:
"I learned more in one day about my fellow staff members than I have
working with them 8 hours a day for the past several years. Learning how to work with each
personality type was invaluable to me. The workshop is relaxing yet highly productive and
informative. It was also great to have Linda summarize what she had observed for the day to let
us know what our strengths and weak- nesses are so that we can continue to utilize what we learned.
I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who wants a more cohesive work force."
-Ann Mlinar
"Blazing Trails gave my staff the opportunity to discover that developing
a team can be fun! As a small court it is imperative that we function as a team. Blazing Trails
enabled us to expand our perceptions of one another in an endeavor to enhance the team atmosphere
and cohesiveness."
-Michele Schroder
"I've been to many workshops in my 19 years with the court and Blazing Trails was definately one
of the best. Being able to learn and develop skills by actively participating in activities was
very beneficial."
-Beth Ranally
"Linda Myers does a great job! . . .It seems that being in an outdoor
setting with a horse let down a lot of defenses and allowed us to communicate effectively and
honestly. It was a day well spent!" -Wendy Wilhelm
